How to configure Outlook 2007 to Office 365

To Configure Outlook 2007 to Office 365, you have to require expertise in Office 365 and follow these steps to Configure Outlook:

  • Let’s log in to Office 365.
  • Click on Outlook by clicking on Outlook Web App.
  • Then click on Help, followed by About.
  • Inside the About page, find out the Mailbox server name and hostname and note them down.

After we find out the mailbox server name and hostname, we need to follow some more steps:

  • Click on Start < Control Panel < Mail.
  • Select Show Profile < Add.
  • Give a profile name, and then click the OK
  • Click on Manually configure server settings to select the check box followed by next.
  • Choose Microsoft Exchange, followed by Next.
  • Put the server name in the server box.
  • Make sure the selection of the Use Cached Exchange Mode
  • Put the User Name and click on More Settings.
  • Click on the Connection
  • Ensure the Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP check box is selected, then click on the Exchange Proxy Settings.
  • Enter the proxy server URL into the Use this URL to connect to my proxy server for Exchange
  • Ensure that Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate box is also selected, followed by typing msstd:
  • Click On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP to select this check box, then on slow network, select Connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP
  • Select Basic Authentication under Proxy Authentication
  • Click two times on
  • Check the NAMES of the server and user name and then proceed further.
  • Finely click on Finish.

Using these steps, you can easily configure Outlook 2007 in Office 365 without any third-party tool.
